DAHA Associate Trainer
Standing Together (ST) coordinates the ground breaking coordinated community response to domestic abuse in West London. ST are co-founders, alongside Peabody and Gentoo, of the Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA) which was founded in 2014 to promote better practice, policy and research in relation to housing and domestic abuse. DAHA is made up of a small team of five who are supporting housing providers in the UK to acquire DAHA accreditation. We offer the Safe at Home domestic abuse course, bespoke training for housing providers.
We are seeking an experienced and expert associate trainer(s) on a short-term contract (up to six months) to further develop our training offer to help meet an increase in demand for training courses and delivery. The associate trainer will design and develop new accessible and engaging training courses that includes producing all the content, activities and resources required for delivery by the DAHA team and our pool of associate trainers. They will also provide a framework for the delivery of a DAHA leads course, taking inspiration from our CCR Leaders Course. The job description includes a description of three units of work represent three different training courses. Each course can be considered as a separate, standalone piece of work. We recognise that each course may require different skills, knowledge and expertise and are therefore open to working with multiple trainers to complete the work required. We therefore welcome applications from trainers expressing to work on one or more standalone units of work.
Applicants must be enthusiastic, creative thinkers, highly motivated, flexible and have a keen interest in the field of domestic abuse. You must be professional and able to work as part of a small dynamic and innovative team who are focused on delivering the highest standard of training and be quality focused.
We are particularly looking for trainers with specialist knowledge in domestic abuse and an understanding of housing. Trainers with a relevant professional teaching qualification, such as PTLLS will be given priority.
Beyond this project, there is scope to undertake further work as an associate trainer to deliver our training courses on an ad-hoc freelance basis.

Post: Part time, contract (3 days a week for all pieces of work or 1-2 days a week per strand)
Salary: Up to £300 per day depending on experience
