Coordinated Community Response (CCR) Leaders Course

The CCR Leaders course will increase the skills and expertise of professionals working at a strategic level, in DA/VAWG coordination. The improved competencies and skills of DA/VAWG Coordinators will have a positive impact on local and national responses to DA/VAWG, ultimately ensuring that survivors of DA/VAWG receive better and more effective support.

 

What is the CCR Leaders Course?

This NCFE-accredited Level 4 course empowers strategic leaders, policy officers, safeguarding managers, and others to reshape their response to DA/VAWG.

Topics covered include:

  • The CCR
  • Dynamics of Domestic Abuse
  • Impact on children
  • Types of VAWG and VAWG legislation
  • Prevention and early intervention
  • National and local strategy
  • Best practice when responding to VAWG
  • Perpetrator interventions
  • Theory of Change
  • Commissioning and bidding
  • Influencing

This course is accredited at Level 4 Certificate-As an accredited course, there are assessments which participants must complete in order to pass the course.

How long is the course?

The course runs for 9 days, over 3 months, and is delivered virtually. It involves 6 days of teaching and 3 days of study. You will need to ensure that you are able to attend all 9 days. There are extra workbooks to complete in your own time.
