Standing Together Against Domestic Violence (STADV) are looking to appoint an experienced Project Officer to support the delivery of ‘Safety by Experience’, an innovative partnership project that aims to learn more about the experiences of homeless women affected by multiple disadvantage and violence against women and girls (VAWG), and develop and pilot new ways of working that better meets their needs.
STADV coordinates the ground breaking coordinated community response to domestic violence in West London. The ‘Safety by Experience’ project is a partnership between STADV and specialist homelessness provider St Mungo’s. The project officer will support the facilitation of client consultation, as well as the development of materials, training and guidance for staff in a range of homelessness settings (supported accommodation, outreach teams, day centres), ultimately ensuring that women in St Mungo’s services and beyond are better supported and feel safer.
You should have strong administration skills, be a confident writer and preferably have experience of facilitating/organising groups with people with lived experience; this should be underpinned by a working understanding of the links between homelessness, multiple disadvantage and VAWG, and the barriers to support that this group of women face.
The post holder will be located at STADV offices in Hammersmith and will be required to travel to sites within London.
Salary: £26,000 pro rata. This is a part time post, with potential to extend to full time.
Contract: One Year Fixed Term
Benefits: 25 days holiday and workplace pension pro rata.
