Join us in marking the 109th anniversary of International Women’s Day by taking part in the launch of the Faith and VAWG Coalition on 5 March 2020 as part of the SAFE Communities Project Conference.

The SAFE Communities Project is an initiative that was founded by Huda Jawad, funded by Esmee Fairbairn Foundation and developed at Standing Together Against Domestic Violence as part of the Coordinated Community Response to Domestic Abuse.

The conference will look at the lessons learned from the 3.5 years that the project has been running and will bring together a range of experts, practitioners and activists that have worked at the intersection of faith, spirituality and VAWG.

The conference will launch the Faith and VAWG Coalition which brings together a range of organisations (Standing Together Against Domestic Violence, SAFE Communities Project, Restored, Muslim Youth Helpline, LAWRS, Jewish Women's Aid and Respect) and activists supporting survivors from faith communities and reflect on what the sector and the CCR can do to break down the barriers for survivors of faith and their communities in accessing specialist support.
